Michael DeSiato has practiced public accounting at McClain & Company since graduating from Florida International University in 1977 after receiving his bachelor's degree in accounting.

Mr. DeSiato received his Florida CPA certificate in 1978 and completed his master's degree in accounting, with a tax specialization, at Florida International University in 1982. He has recently completed the IBCFP program to obtain the designation of Certified Financial Planner.

Mr. DeSiato has extensive experience in the area of international tax from both an inbound and outbound perspective. He is a member of The Greater Miami International Tax Group and The U.S. Taxation of Multinational Discussion Group. He has taught international tax courses at St. Thomas University and is a frequent speaker on international tax planning topics at various professional organizations and conferences. In addition to international taxation, Mr. DeSiato is also experienced in domestic tax planning and compliance and estate and succession planning for the closely held business owner.

He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Greater Miami Tax Institute (past President), the International Board of Certified Financial Planners, the Greater Fort Lauderdale Tax Council, the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce and the Broward Economic Development Council.
